Making stops in Pasadena, San Antonio and Austin, Hutchison outlined her plan to get traffic moving again in Texas. Check out the stories below:
Kay Bailey Hutchison brought her gubernatorial campaign to Pasadena on Wednesday as she continued to roll out her plans for the future of transportation in Texas. The background for the event was the Palmer Logistics warehouse and distribution center on Bay Area Boulevard near Fairmont Parkway. …. Hutchison said her plans for the future of Texas transportation were about positioning the state for the future. She said current Gov. Rick Perry “has failed to provide a transportation system that will meet the needs of Texas for the next 20 years.” – Pasadena Citizen
U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison laid out her plan Wednesday in San Antonio to clean up TxDOT and reduce traffic congestion. Traffic congestion has become a hot issue for many voters. Hutchison says she realizes traffic jams are a major frustration for many Texans, which is why she is traveling the state to discuss her plan. She said her first priority is to reform TxDOT, which she says is structurally deficient. The senator also mentioned placing new restriction on toll-road construction and building a high-speed rail network connecting San Antonio to Dallas and Houston. – KENS 5
